Project Description

2017 Cuvée Los Gatos Pinot Noir

Monterey AVA

Tasting Notes

“Brick red color. Inviting aromas of cherry, cassis, cola, anise, and boysenberry start the enjoyment of this Pinot Noir. With aeration, some hints of sage, blackberry, and orange zest add complexity. Upon taste, the flavors focus towards red fruit and citrus characters. Silky tannins and bright acidity give way to immediate enjoyment of this wine. The finish is intricate and persistent, with a touch of French oak. Enjoy now through 2023.”

Cuvée Los Gatos

Cuvée Los Gatos is Testarossa’s casual label that pays homage to the town which has been home to our winery since it was built in 1888.  Proprietors Rob and Diana Jensen and Director of Winemaking Bill Brosseau hand-select and combine vineyard lots from highly regarded growing districts for this bottling.  Testarossa currently offers Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Monterey County and Rosé of Pinot Noir and Rob’s Red from the Central Coast.
