2022 Cuvée Los Gatos Chardonnay
Monterey AVA

Tasting Notes
“Medium yellow hue. Scents of honey, grapefruit, peach, kiwi, and coconut unite for a pleasing aroma experience. Once on the palate, these qualities continue in the flavor profile and are framed by juicy and lively texture. This Chardonnay finishes fresh and full. Enjoy now through 2029.”
~Bill Brosseau, Director of Winemaking

“Deep golden straw in appearance. The nose offers aromas of cantaloupe, roasted pineapple and biscuits. The palate is full-bodied with a creamy texture and moderate acidity, showing generous notes of spiced poached apples, lanolin and preserved lemons. Drink now. Screw cap.” James Suckling, 2025

Cuvée Los Gatos
Cuvée Los Gatos is Testarossa’s label that pays homage to the town which has been home to our winery since it was built in 1888. Proprietors Rob and Diana Jensen and Director of Winemaking Bill Brosseau hand-select and combine vineyard lots from highly regarded growing districts for this bottling. Testarossa currently offers Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Monterey County and Rose of Pinot Noir and Rob’s Red from the Central Coast.

“Clean, fresh and silky, balanced and bright, with charm and finesse.”
“The taste of buttered popcorn is mouth-coating, with a touch of lemon drop and basil. We love the delicately balanced finish of toasty oak: like melon-washed cedar.”
“Smooth, fruit nose; juicy and lush with rich, ripe flavors of pear and tropical fruit; tangy, crisp and ripe, long and balanced; a lovely wine, especially at this price point.”
“Light brilliant gold. Fragrant tangerine, peach, melon and honey aromas show good focus and expand steadily with air. Ample and round on the palate, offering subtly sweet citrus and orchard fruit flavors sharpened by a late jolt of spicy ginger. Finishes long and gently smoky, with a repeating peach note and a sexy floral nuance.”
“Gold-flecked yellow straw. Sourced from several vineyards in the northern part of the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA, this is a well balanced Chardonnay with ripe but not overripe stone fruit and hints of mandarin and vanilla. The mouth feel is sensuous with natural acidity complementing and contrasting with the fruit. Aged 14 months in French oak, 13% new.”
