The 12th Annual Soirée du Vin brings in a record $40,000 for one auction lot at its gourmet wine and food fundraiser.

LOS GATOS, CA (October 11, 2017) Testarossa Winery, producers of premier California Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, in conjunction with the International School of the Peninsula announced today that winery proprietor Rob Jensen helped the acclaimed school generate an all-time record auction donation for their annual Soirée du Vin fundraiser.

“As the keynote speaker of this year’s Soirée du Vin I was ecstatic to see our auction item for a lunch and tour of Testarossa jump from $3,000 up to $10,000,” said Rob Jensen, Founder and Proprietor of Testarossa Winery. “It was the perfect opportunity to quadruple our donation and let the top four bidders win a luncheon for ten, bringing the total for that auction item up to $40,000.”

This was the 12th annual Soirée du Vin and brought in approximately $160,000 during the auction portion of the program. Proceeds benefit the school’s Charlotte de Géry Endowment Fund, named after their beloved founder, who started the school in 1979.

“During the early years of Soirée du Vin, we thought ourselves fortunate to raise $40,000 in one night,” said Patricia Colin, Director of Advancement at the International School of the Peninsula. “Twelve years later, in one fell swoop, Rob Jensen raised that amount for us in the span of 10 minutes! The International School of the Peninsula is incredibly grateful to Rob and Testarossa for their generosity and in helping us to provide an exemplary and dynamic bilingual education to Silicon Valley children.”

The Soirée du Vin is Silicon Valley’s premier wine auction and is was held annually in October at the Fremont Hills Country Club in Los Altos Hills. Auction lots include exceptional wine, gourmet food and luxury experiences.
