Testarossa Works Series
2017 Doctor’s Vineyard Pinot Noir Clonals

Santa Lucia Highlands AVA

Clone 777

Tasting Notes

“Dark red hue. Brilliant scents of roasted strawberries, cherry, cranberry, sage, anise, wild thyme, and lemon-zest make for a wonderful fusion of fruits and spice. Upon taste, the flavors segue towards cranberry, cherry, and lemon-zest. Tannins are vibrant and fine grained, providing excellent structure. These elements are matched nicely with zesty acidity, that previews a decadent and layered finish. Enjoy now through 2026.”

Swan Clone

Tasting Notes

“Medium dark red hue. This elegant Pinot Noir opens up with qualities of pomegranate, cherry cola, violets, jasmine, and rose petal. While concentrated in the nose with floral notes, this wine delivers enjoyable tastes of cranberry, pomegranate, lemon-zest, and orange. With soft, supple tannins, the acidity of this wine is vibrant, giving way to a firm and youthful end to this clonal selection. Enjoy now through 2025.”

Tasting Notes

“Medium dark hue. Scents of red cherry, boysenberry, orange zest, nutmeg, anise, and jasmine. In the palate, there are lush red fruit flavors and creamy vanilla. Lush and silky tannins give great expansiveness to the wine while the modest acidity maintains some definition in the palate. This wine is very flashy and hedonistic and should age gracefully. Enjoy now through 2025”

Tasting Notes

Medium dark hue. Hints of mandarin orange, chokecherry, lemon zest, marmalade jam, and jasmine make for a very intriguing nose. Upon taste, flavors become very focused with citrus and marmalade leading the front. Soft tannins, modest acidity pair nicely and are framed by some tannin in the backbone of the wine. Overall, a focused and subtle clone in the Doctor’s portfolio. Enjoy now through 2023.”
