Testarossa Winery is dedicated to producing world class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from California’s best vineyards. We occupy the site of the historic Novitiate Winery in the foothills of Los Gatos, a property that has been producing wine continuously since Jesuit fathers and monks broke ground here for their mission in 1888. Today, we operate a vibrant, table service wine bar, tasting room and private events business servicing local residents, visitors, and international travelers who seek the best quality in California wines.
We are hiring currently for our summer season frontline staff in Wine Bar 107—an outdoor, casual, table-service venue serving Testarossa’s current vintages, live music three times per week, and a well -curated menu of artisan cheese, charcuterie, salads and breads.
We are hiring people who are passionate for (or want to learn about) great wine, great food and understand how facilitating a memorable guest experience determines whether or not you choose to return to a certain place.
We are looking for servers who understand the importance of providing efficient, personalized service to both our wine club members and casual visitors alike. Our servers must be able to elucidate the difference between our numerous pinot noir and chardonnay offerings, provide efficient, friendly table service, educate visitors on company history and create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.
SERVICE ASSISTANT / FOOD RUNNER/ BAR BACK
These positions all support the Server staff in Wine Bar 107 and our Jensen Reserve Society members on our exclusive (JRS) Terrace. Ideal candidates have bussing/running experience in fast casual / upscale restaurants, understand how to take direction both from a kitchen expediter and server in order to provide a seamless, memorable service on our property. Focus, timely execution and attention to detail are paramount to succeeding in this service support role for a premium winery.
Our Hosts and Hostesses are the usually the first point of contact for guests visiting Testarossa and first impressions matter. We are looking for candidates with the poise and grace to greet, welcome and direct our guests in a professional manner that both respects their requests and our business needs at the moment. Successful candidates are great communicators with the public and with team members alike. You must be willing / able to take charge of the service game plan for the day and do whatever is possible to make a successful day both for your guests and team members. Because of our unique venue, you will be responsible for hosting the visitors to Wine Bar 107 and directing guests who are onsite for other specific private events. This person in this position will work closely with the Wine Bar Supervisor and the Wine Bar Manager.

- Previous Hospitality Experience in Restaurant / Winery / Hotel
- Passion / Interest in Wine / Food Culture
- Present / Open demeanor focused on service and taking care of others
- Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
- Ability to communicate with diverse populations clearly, kindly & effectively.
