Connoisseurs' Guide

It is not uncommon for Pinots from the Santa Rita Hills to be on the tight side of the varietal spectrum especially when young, and, if this nicely made version shows a fair sense of firmness, it is surprisingly fleshy and effusive in fruit as well. It is moderately full-bodied and very well-balanced with fine fruity length, and it has the enlivening acidity and integral tannins to ensure three to five years of improvement.
