Demystifying Blind Tasting
Wednesday, October 18 2017
Learn how sommeliers use the deductive tasting method to identify wines based on sight, aroma and flavor alone.
Far from a mystical secret procedure, these techniques can be used by wine lovers of any level of experience to increase their blind tasting skill, as well as improving the ability to discern structure, aromatic and flavor components of wine. We will also help map these basic guidelines onto the major wine styles of the world, including, of course, California Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
6:00 - 6:30 pm: Reception with Small Bites prepared by Testarossa Culinary Team.
6:30 - 7:30 pm: Class with Certified Sommelier and Testarossa DTC manager, Ryan Smith and Wine Educator Bob Zamora
