Don't be intimidated by the world of wine! Learn the basics of how to swirl, smell, taste and describe wine. You'll also learn how we make our wine, the differences between varietals and places of origin, and what contributes to its wonderful aromas and flavors.
Learn about the Sierra Madre Vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley appellation and the rare chance to taste our Sierra Madre Pinot Noirs from the 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 vintages. What a delicious and educational treat!
Bordeaux Varietal Component Tasting
Tuesday, November 6th- 6pm, $75
Learn about the blending process for our Bordeaux-style wines, and what each of the five Bordeaux varietals contributes. Taste barrel samples of each varietal and make your own perfect "personal" blend- you'll get to take a half bottle home! We'll also get a sneak peek tasting of our unreleased 2015 SCM Red Blend.
Five Years On: A 2013 Vintage Retrospective
Tuesday, November 13th- 6pm, $60
2013 is considered one of the greatest vintages for California Pinot Noir (especially the SLH) of the last 15 years. Join us to learn about what made the 2013 vintage so distinctive. We'll taste a selection of 2013 wines to see how this ageworthy vintage is progressing. RSVP HERE
