| On rare occasions we will get a comment that a particular bottle of Testarossa didn't live up to the customer's expectations. In most cases this is likely due to the age-old problem of "corked" wines; that unpleasant wet-cardboard aroma and flavor that strips a wine of its fruit and character. The worst corked wine we have ever experienced was an $800/bottle of 1993 Petrus, which shows even the most diligent wineries and most expensive of wines aren't immune to the problem. |
