Like this wine’s namesake, winery founder Diana Jensen, there is everything to love about our 2006 Diana’s Chardonnay. Only a handful of our silkiest textured, most lush fruit and complex barrels are hand selected and painstakingly married to create this very limited edition Chardonnay bottling.  Our Diana’s Chardonnay is made to cellar, but this young wine is so impressive now that few people ever get to experience a bottle that is more than two or three years old.

2006 La Cruz Vineyard Chardonnay, 216 cases- 90pts Wine Enthusiast
Sonoma Coast, Sonoma County
The 2006 La Cruz Vineyard Chardonnay is one of our most intense, “bigger” Chardonnays from this vintage.  The wine is rich in tree fruit flavors. Sparse soils and a strong cooling influence from Pacific fog yield a powerfully complex Chardonnay with layers of citrus, spice and minerality.

2006 Sanford & Benedict Vineyard Chardonnay, 552 cases- 93pts Connoisseurs' Guide
Santa Rita Hills, Santa Barbara County
The 2006 Sanford & Benedict Vineyard Chardonnay is extremely complex. Planted in 1971, these old vines in shaley loam soils yield an incredibly rich tropical fruit, mineral focused and complex Chardonnay.  The 2006 vintage gave us the richness, and vibrant fruit that connoisseurs have come to admire from the Santa Rita Hills, but this wine has an extra expressive layer of minerality from the shaley clay-loam soils of this vineyard.

Pinot Noir

Our Niclaire Pinot Noir named after Nick and Claire Jensen, the children of our winery’s founders.  Like Diana’s Chardonnay, this is our top of the line Pinot Noir which is a result of hundreds of hours of barrel tastings and blending trails.  The 2006 Niclaire is produced for medium term aging and will truly blossom with four to five years of cellar aging.  Silky textures, balanced rich fruit and layers of minerality make our Niclaire something truly unique.

2006 Fritschen Vineyard Pinot Noir, 192 cases –93 pts Wine Enthusiast
Russian River Valley,Sonoma County
John Fritschen’s East Side Road vineyard produces typically deep, dark Pinot Noir fruit with ample tannins for excellent medium term aging.  This tiny 3 acre estate in the Russian River Valley has quickly developed a cult following amongst Testarossa Pinot Noir fans.  The unmistakable Russian River Valley masculine terroir comes through from this very steep hillside vineyard.  The vines are naturally low yielding and are planted on steep slopes requiring mostly hand farming. This ensures extra attention to each vine and each grape cluster.

2006 La Cruz Vineyard Pinot Noir, 336 cases –91 pts Connoisseurs' Guide, 90 pts Wine Enthusiast
Sonoma Coast, Sonoma County
In 1998, Arturo Keller and his daughter Ana planted the rolling hills that now make up the La Cruz Vineyard.  Decades of clonal research were used when the selections were made as to which Pinot Noir clones would do best at this site.  The three most prominent Pinot Noir clones that marry together to create layers of flavor to Testarossa’s La Cruz Vineyard are Dijon 667, Dijon 777 and Pommard.   La Cruz is Spanish for “The Cross,” reflecting the ornate 15th Century Spanish Cross on the hill at the center of the vineyard.
