Kitchen Prep-Cook


This position is responsible for following all recipes as set by the Chef de Cuisine: perform a variety of food preparation duties, as well as accurate transfer of all items to the winery. 

Reporting Requirements 

This position reports to the Chef de Cuisine and Kitchen Supervisor.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Follow the prep list created by Chef de Cuisine
  • Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
  • Multiply recipe ingredients accurately to increase the number of servings
  • Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
  • Cleans and sanitizes the working surfaces, tools, utensils and working area
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned

Professional Requirements 

  • Minimum 2 years kitchen experience
  • Safe knife skills
  • Must have current Serv-Safe Certification
  • Health & sanitation knowledge
  • Basic math skills to accurately follow and multiply recipes
  • Must possess valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (weekends)
  • Ability to take direction
  • Ability work in a team environment
  • Must be proactive
  • Walk and stand for 7 to 8 hours a day
  • Must be able to successfully complete criminal background check
