Winery Description
Testarossa Winery is a small, family-owned winery located in Los Gatos, at the foot of the Santa Cruz Mountains. We focus on crafting ultra-premium Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah from several prestigious vineyards throughout California. Our goal is to make balanced wines reflective of the vineyard or site. Each year we search for several passionate and hard-working individuals to assist in every aspect of winemaking from grape to bottle.
Cellar Internship (August-Oct/Nov)
- Maintain a sanitary working environment (tanks, fittings, hoses, equip., etc.)
- Assist in crush activities: Sort/destem fruit, press operation, forklift training and operation
- Assist in cellar activities: punch downs, pump-overs, racking, drains, barrel filling, barrel cleaning/maintenance
- Assist in bottling operations
- Wage: competitive
Cellar and Lab Internship (July-Oct/Nov)
- Assist in many of the cellar activities listed above
- Maintain a sanitary working environment and protecting the integrity of wines/juice
- Analysis: BRIX, pH, TA, VA, SO2, DO, EtOH, glu/fru, malic acid, ammonia, potassium
- Verify accuracy, precision of lab results
- Juice/must/wine additions: nutrient, yeast, SO2, etc
- Providing samples
- Assisting in bottling analysis and quality control
- Wage: competitive
