APPELLATION: Russian River Valley
The Russian River Valley in western Sonoma County is home to some of the most famous Pinot Noir producers in the New World. The rolling hills offer sandy, gravelly well drained soils ideal for shy yielding Pinot Noir vines. The area is famous for its daily morning fog which gives way to warm afternoons each day during the growing season. The Pacific fog influence results in a long growing season which gives Pinot Noir from this region exceptional depth, richness and complexity. Testarossa first contracted to purchase Russian River fruit in 2001.
