For Testarossa’s Cuvée Los Gatos releases, Rob and Diana Jensen and Director of Winemaking Bill Brosseau select and combine vineyard lots from highly regarded growing districts. For this bottling, the grapes were sourced from Central Coast. In particular, a majority of the fruit came from vineyards in the northern end of the Santa Lucia Highlands appellation - one of the state’s best known regions for world-class Pinot Noir. The Highlands close proximity to Monterey Bay makes for a very cool climate, with one of California’s longest growing seasons. The resulting slow, gentle ripening allows for full flavor development on the vine. This dry rosé includes fruit from beloved vineyards such as Doctor's, Fogstone, Gary's and the Tondre Grapefield.
Winemaker Tasting Notes
"Golden orange hue. Engaging scents of papaya, orange-zest, mandarin orange, pomegranate, and orange. Upon taste, these characters persist and lead into a bright, fresh, and lush personality. This lovely Rose of Pinot Noir finishes smooth, full, and with pleasure. Enjoy now through 2023."
