For Testarossa’s Cuvée Los Gatos releases, Rob and Diana Jensen and Director of Winemaking Bill Brosseau hand-select and combine vineyard lots from highly regarded growing districts. For this bottling, the grapes were sourced from the Santa Lucia Highlands in the Salinas Valley in Monterey County. In particular, a majority of the fruit came from vineyards in the northern end of this famous appellation - one of the country’s best-known regions for world-class Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The Highlands close proximity to Monterey Bay makes for a very cool climate, with one of California’s longest growing seasons. The resulting slow, gentle ripening allows for full flavor development on the vine.
"Medium straw hue. Engaging scents of honeysuckle, melon, kiwi, fig, grapefruit, and banana. These characters segue into the palate nicely and are followed by some creamy flavors. The texture is plush and soft, lending itself to immediate enjoyment. The finish is pleasing and enjoyable. Drink now through 2022."
