2016 Soberanes Vineyard Chardonnay

The Soberanes Vineyard is in the heart of the Santa Lucia Highlands’ bench and is directly adjacent to Garys’ vineyard. This vineyard is managed with the utmost in care and attention to detail.

Tasting Notes

Deep straw hue. Intense scents of kiwi, papaya, ripe grapefruit along with elements of pineapple, passion fruit, mango and coconut. This fusion of citrus and tropical fruits mesh nicely on the palate around notes of grapefruit, passionfruit, mango, and pineapple. The youthful and vibrant acidity pairs with the decadent texture of this Chardonnay. Enjoy the vibrant, fresh, and hedonistic finish of this wine through 2026.

Limpid straw-gold. Citrus pith, Anjou pear and smoky minerals on the highly perfumed nose, joined by slowly emerging hints of chamomile, saffron and sweet butter. Juicy and sharply focused on the palate, offering intense, mineral-laced citrus and orchard fruit flavors that slowly unfold and deepen while maintaining urgency. Finishes on an emphatic mineral note, showing outstanding persistence and lingering suggestions of honeysuckle and chalky minerality. Read more
