2016 Rincon Vineyard Pinot Noir

Owned by the Talley Family, who have farmed Southern San Luis Obispo County for three generations, the Rincon Vineyard dates back to 1982. Planted just 8 miles Northeast of the Pacific Ocean, the vineyard has soils that are reminiscent of Burgundy, in particularly the Côte de Nuits with its steep terrain. Working closely with the Talley Family, Testarossa owners, Rob and Diana Jensen, and Director of Winemaking Bill Brosseau, have created this very exceptional Pinot Noir with classic old world flavors.

Tasting Notes

"Brick red hue. Beautiful scents of cranberry, cassis, licorice, and boysenberry. After some time in glass, abundant elements of raspberry, caramel, and maraschino cherries surround the aroma profile. These attributes remain persistent on the palate and are shaped by bright acidity and voluptuous tannins. This hedonistic experience continues to improve and deliver with minerality and a fleshy finish. Enjoy now through 2024."
