2016 Cuvee Los Gatos Chardonnay

For Testarossa’s Cuvée Los Gatos releases, Rob and Diana Jensen and Director of Winemaking Bill Brosseau hand-select and combine vineyard lots from highly regarded growing districts. For this bottling, the grapes were sourced from the Santa Lucia Highlands in the Salinas Valley in Monterey County. In particular, a majority of the fruit came from vineyards in the northern end of this famous appellation - one of the country’s best-known regions for world-class Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The Highlands close proximity to Monterey Bay makes for a very cool climate, with one of California’s longest growing seasons. The resulting slow, gentle ripening allows for full flavor development on the vine.

Winemaker Notes
"Medium yellow hue. Generous scents of fig, ripe apple, papaya, orange, and kiwi comprise the aroma profile of this Appellation blend. Flavors of the same nature persist in a full, rich palate with modest acidity. The finish is dense and shows concentration in the absence of new oak. Enjoy now through 2022."
