Owned by the Talley Family, who have farmed Southern San Luis Obispo County for three generations, the Rincon Vineyard dates back to 1982. Planted just 8 miles Northeast of the Pacific Ocean, the vineyard has soils that are reminiscent of Burgundy, in particularly the Côte de Nuits with its steep terrain. Working closely with the Talley Family, Testarossa owners, Rob and Diana Jensen, and Director of Winemaking Bill Brosseau, have created this very exceptional Pinot Noir with classic old world flavors.
"Deep red hue. Notes of raspberry, boysenberry, cherry, and cranberry jump readily out of the glass. Upon aeration, a complex array of pomegranate, papaya, anise, vanilla bean, and lemon unite seamlessly. An enjoyable nose and equally pleasing palate with incredible consistency all throughout. Dense, full tannins are well structured and intense. While the richness of the clay soil comes through in the depth of palate, the acidity is in perfect harmony with the mouthfeel. This Pinot Noir finishes nicely between richness and freshness. Enjoy now through 2026."
~ Bill Brosseau, Director of Winemaking
