Cuvée Los Gatos is a special wine made by Testarossa Winery to pay homage to the town of Los Gatos, where the historic novitiate winery was built in 1888 and continues to produce wine today.
For Testarossa’s Cuvée Los Gatos releases, co-founders Rob and Diana Jensen and Director of Winemaking Bill Brosseau select and combine vineyard lots from highly regarded growing districts. For this bottling, the grapes were sourced from the Santa Cruz Mountains and the Santa Lucia Highlands. The areas’ close proximity to Monterey Bay makes for a cool climate, with one of California’s longest growing seasons. The resulting slow, gentle ripening allows for full flavor development on the vine.
