Connoisseurs' Guide

Vigorous, optimally ripened and plentifully fruited with intriguing touches of graphite, a distant note of dried herbs and a judicious appointment of complementary sweet oak lending no small measure of welcome complexity, this deep and well-composed Pinot reveals a little more with each sniff and sip and exhibits fine staying power and length. It is not an especially big wine as weighty Pinots go, yet it lacks for nothing in the way of filling and flesh, and its obvious richness is balanced by plenty of integral acidity that is a sure guarantor of a good half-decade or more of very positive growth.
