In the Arroyo Grande Appellation, Rincon Vineyard (meaning “corner”) sits on two steep hillsides just seven miles northeast of the Pacific Ocean. The Talley Family owns the vineyard and have farmed Southern San Luis Obispo County for three generations. Rincon is the oldest vineyard on their property with the first plantings dating back to 1982.
Its soil is rich in loam and calcareous clay, providing shallow cover that is comparable to the vineyards of Burgundy. The soil type combined with the steep hills produce a yield just under 3 tons per acre.
Medium straw hue. Scents of mango, coconut, peach, and pear unite in this engaging Chardonnay. These aromas carry over to the flavor profile along with a surge of dense caramel. Vibrancy, purity, and a bright palate give a brilliance to this wine while the finish is soft, lush, and loaded with caramel. Enjoy now through 2025.
