For Testarossa’s Novitate releases, Rob and Diana Jensen and winemaker Bill Brosseau select and combine vineyard lots from highly - regarded growing districts. For this bottling, the grapes were sourced from Monterey County. In particular, a majority of the fruit came from vineyards in the northern end of the Santa Lucia Highlands appellation - one of the state’s best known regions for world-class Pinot Noir. The Highlands close proximity to Monterey Bay makes for a very cool climate, with one of California’s longest growing seasons. The resulting slow, gentle ripening allows for full flavor development on the vine.
"Medium red hue. Intense aromas of roses, red cherry, spice, and orange blossoms engage the senses. Floral and fruity notes continue into a lush palate of silky tannins and subtle acidity. This Pinot Noir is quite hedonistic now and finishes smooth. Drink now through 2015."
- Bill Brosseau, Director of Winemaking
