2011 Niclaire Pinot Noir

Only a few, hand-selected barrels are chosen each year to create the Niclaire release, making this wine the ultimate Pinot Noir statement for the vintage. From the 2011 harvest, only eight barrels were selected, forty-four percent of which were new:

"Deep red hue.  Dense aromas of ripe cherry, strawberry, papaya, cloves, and vanilla bean make for an engaging experience.  Upon taste, juicy flavors of ripe cherry, strawberry, and citrus excite the palate.  Tannins are abundant, yet silky.  Vibrancy is the theme of this vintage, especially with this 'best of the best' barrel selection.  The finish of the wine is undulating with layers upon layers of fruit and subtle oak spice.  Drink now through 2020."
